The year 2010 saw the beginning of a new political era in Hungary. In the past few eayrs, owing primarily to the legitimacy crisis of those exercising power in Hungary, attention used to be focused first of all on political conflicts. However, the elections created a new situation in 2010: the previous governing parties were replaced and the new governing parties enjoy a two-thirds majority support. Public life will, from this point on, be about governance instead of political skirmishes. For this reason, our analysts pay particular attention to the analysis of governmental decisions and plans concerning various sectors or policy areas. Our policy analyses focus, among others, on sectors such as health care, energy, the state reform or Central European cooperation.
